Training for Qualified Child Listening

This project was part of the process of developing the Municipal Plan for Early Childhood (PMPI-Itu), with the goal of listening to children and including their perspectives in public policy planning. It also trained education professionals on the importance of giving voice and agency to children.

We offered a theoretical and practical training course in online format, taught by specialist Bruna Ribeiro, author of the book Pedagogia das Miudezas. Participating educators applied listening activities such as storytelling, group conversations, and recording children’s voices and reflections.

Results:
● 400 managers and educators trained in qualified listening methodology.
● Course evaluated as “very relevant for pedagogical practice” by 95% of participants.
● More than 600 children aged 4 to 7 listened to, actively contributing to the PMPI-Itu.
