We supported the implementation of a library in the riverside community of Santa Terezinha Axipicá, in Oriximiná (PA), in partnership with the Associação Vaga Lume, with the goal of promoting the right to read and strengthening education for local children.
Access to books expands vocabulary, improves school performance, stimulates self-expression, and creates new opportunities for development and social transformation.
Results:
● 46 children aged 0 to 6 benefited.
● 75 families involved, reaching a total of 380 residents.
● 100 hours of activities carried out in the community.
● 27 volunteers engaged.
● Library with a collection of 300 books.
● 167 children impacted by reading activities.
● 180 books borrowed in the first activity cycle.
