Partner: Centro Integrado de Estudos e Programas de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (CIEDS)

Region of operation: Ceará

Served audience: families with young children in vulnerable situations diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or under investigation

The Infância Inclusiva em Laços project is an extension of Infância Tecida em Laços project and seeks to address the multiple challenges that hinder the holistic development of children aged 0 to 6 living in vulnerable contexts in the municipalities of Pacajus and Horizonte, in Ceará.

Among the main obstacles are fragile family and community ties, the scarcity of specialized mental health and legal protection services, limited access to early diagnoses and specialized therapies — especially for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) — as well as reduced income-generating opportunities for caregiving families.

The initiative is based on local diagnoses built from active listening with beneficiary families and frontline professionals, consolidating a collaborative process that has evolved since the first edition of Infância Tecida em Laços project in 2023.
